Virtual ISD Day will connect school districts with diverse businesses

0

Dallas ISD’s Minority/Women Business Enterprise Department, in partnership with the Dallas/Fort Worth Minority Supplier Development Council, is hosting the Independent School District Buyer & Vendor Networker (Virtual ISD Day).  Although social distancing has disrupted business-as-usual, the district is committed to making meaningful connections and creating impactful growth.

Joining Dallas ISD in this effort are schools throughout the state including Arlington, Austin, Carrollton-Farmers Branch, Fort Bend, Fort Worth, Garland, Irving and San Antonio ISDs, as well as Dallas College and the University of North Texas System.

Dallas ISD is committed to informing minority and women-owned businesses about how to do business with the district, and this event will be an excellent opportunity for school district personnel to meet with diverse businesses and share procurement-related information.

There is no fee for businesses to participate, but the benefits are priceless, as participants in the virtual webinar can:

  • Learn about current and upcoming business opportunities.
  • Network with buyers from statewide school districts and develop key procurement contacts.
  • Gain helpful hints on doing business with local school districts.

The event will be held Nov. 18, 2020, from 1 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. You may register at this link: https://us02web.zoom.us/webinar/register/1916046742996/WN_utIjJmcOQL2q8lsJZqq_wg.
