Dallas ISD’s Transportation Department is calling on all CDL drivers who are looking to make a difference in their community.
The district is recruiting bus drivers for the 2020 – 2021 school year. The starting pay is $20.17 per hour. Drivers are guaranteed 6 working hours a day for 185 days per school year.
Drivers must be at least 21 years of age. Among other requirements, applicants must have a Texas Commercial Driver’s License (Class A or B) with Passenger and School endorsements (“P” and “S”). Jobseekers can find the job posting on this website.
The Dallas ISD Transportation Department also offers an incentive program to full-time CDL bus drivers, which consists of three incentives: perfect attendance, Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) driver referral and CDL driver retention incentive.
The CDL Driver Referral Incentive will award any Dallas ISD staff member who refers a CDL driver applicant who is hired as a bus driver. It will pay $200 for referring* an applicant with a CDL and P/S endorsement at the time of hire.
