The Dallas ISD 2019 United Way employee giving campaign kicked off Friday to benefit a great cause: fundraise $190,000 for the nonprofit that provides programs and services that help Dallas ISD students and families.

“We’re excited to partner once again with Dallas ISD,” said Emily McGee, corporate relations manager of United Way of Metropolitan Dallas. “We have to invest resources and time on individuals that are going to be leading our future.”

Attendees at the kickoff event held in the lobby of the Linus D. Wright Dallas ISD Administration Building enjoyed a photo booth, snacks, light music and information on the United Way. A representative was on hand to answer questions about the campaign.

Last year, Dallas ISD raised more than $185,800 during the employee giving campaign, an $86,000 increase from the previous year.
