Dallas ISD robotics teams earn top awards at national competition

Dallas ISD Competitive Robotics, supported by the STEM-Computer Science Department, continues to excel at the highest levels.

At the US Open National VEX Robotics Championship held in Iowa April 1-3, Casa View Elementary School won the Teamwork Champion Award, competing against 170 teams from all over the United States, Canada, and China. In the same event, Dallas Environmental Science Academy and Winnetka Elementary School won the Teamwork Second Place Award, and Alex Sanger Preparatory won the STEM Research Project Award.

Dallas ISD is committed to ensuring that every student is involved in at least one extracurricular activity. Competitive robotics helps to foster interest and awareness in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM).
