Teachers of the year

Three outstanding educators were named the Dallas ISD Teachers of the Year at a special reception on Wednesday (learn more).

The next day, those teachers were presented with cake and balloons in their classrooms (see photos).

They have a dream

Withers Elementary School fourth-grader Wesley Stoker took the top honors in the 26th Annual Gardere MLK Oratory Competition. Eight finalists competed at Adamson High School (learn more).

We’re Lovin’ It

Lincoln High School Girls Basketball player Kennedy Taylor was nominated for the prestigious McDonald’s All-American Game (learn more).

Cheers!

The cheer squads from W.T. White and Molina high schools placed in the UIL State Spirit Competition held in Fort Worth (learn more).

STEM Expo

Registration is still open for the Largest STEM Expo in Texas happening Jan. 20 at the Kay Bailey Hutchinson Convention Center (register).

Application month

Reminder: The application window is open to apply for one of Dallas ISD’s specialty programs and schools for next school year. Applications are due by Jan. 31 (learn more).
