The Dallas Mayor’s Intern Fellows Program celebrated another huge year with a luncheon on Thursday that allowed the hundreds of participating Dallas public high school students to celebrate their hard work.

This was the 10th year of the Dallas Mayor’s Intern Fellows Program. The program, which is modeled after the White House Fellows Program, is an eight-week paid summer internship that allows students from Dallas ISD and public charter high schools to learn skills from a variety of fields, including technology, healthcare, and education.

“Being a part of the Dallas Mayor’s Intern Fellows Program has been a great experience because I’ve made connections for my future and learned how to work in a professional setting,” said Daniel Akwei, a student W.T. White High School and intern with the Dallas ISD Communications Department.
