National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week is April 9-15, and it’s an opportunity to celebrate those employees who help keep Dallas ISD safe!

The Dallas ISD Police Department has 10 authorized police telecommunicators and one communications manager. These telecommunicators provide 24/7/365 coverage.

They are responsible for answering all emergency and non-emergency calls from the Dallas ISD campuses, monitor intrusion and fire alarms, provide dispatch functions for all police personnel, as well as after-hours maintenance. They are licensed by the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement.

“These employees do an incredible job and deserve our recognition and praise,” Dallas ISD Police Sergeant Keith Clicque said.
