ACE expansion

The district announced it’s expanding the successful ACE program to an additional six campuses next school year. The ACE program staffs the highest needs schools with high-performing principals and teachers. (Read this)

Kindergartners at J.P. Starks Math, Science and Technology Vanguard have written and illustrated their own book called If I Were the Teacher. (Watch this)

In love with books

Students at J.J. Rhoads Learning Center celebrated Valentine’s Day by falling in love with books. The school held a book giveaway in the school’s library. (See photos)

Special surprise

Alexa Luckey, a student at Booker T. Washington High School for the Visual and Performing Arts, was surprised with an all-expense paid trip for two to see “Hamilton, an American Musical,” in San Francisco. (Watch the surprise)

Proposed 2017-2018 calendar
