Dallas ISD employees can buy roses from Skyline floral design program

0

Valentine’s Day is just around the corner, and Dallas ISD employees can still buy professionally prepared roses from Skyline High School’s Eco-Tech cluster!

The beautiful roses cost $4o for a dozen or $25 for a half dozen. Thursday afternoon is the deadline to order the flowers in time for Valentine’s Day. Supplies are limited.

Those who are interested in purchasing flowers for Valentine’s Day can contact Shawn Coyle, who teaches the floral design class, at 972-502-3537 or scoyle@dallasisd.org.

In addition to teaching the practical skills of floral design—many of the Eco-Tech students have gone on to work at floral shops or start their own floral business—students in the class learn how to talk with customers and take and process orders.

The class is a part of Skyline’s Agriculture Career and Technical Education (CTE) program. February is CTE month and an opportunity to celebrate the value of CTE programs.
