Trustee Spotlight: Jaime Resendez

Trustee Jaime Resendez is leading the charge to make District 4 an outstanding team.

Elected to the board in May of 2016, this graduate of Skyline High School represents Southeast Dallas, Seagoville and Balch Springs.

Resendez is a U.S. Army combat veteran and attorney licensed to practice law by the State Bar of Texas and before the U.S. District Court in the Northern District of Texas.

The son of Mexican immigrants, Resendez enlisted in the U.S. Army as an engineer before high school graduation and served for eight years, including a yearlong tour of duty in Baghdad, Iraq. A fluent Spanish-speaker, Resendez is committed to serving his community and is actively involved in a variety of organizations and professional associations, among them chambers of commerce, the Dallas Volunteer Attorney Program, the Dallas Bar Association, and the Dallas Hispanic Bar Association where he serves as a member of the organization’s Pro Bono Committee. He has received numerous awards, medals, and scholarships throughout his military and educational careers.
