District Teachers of the Year

Dallas ISD named the three 2016 Teachers of the Year at a celebration on Thursday. (See the teachers)

Campus Teachers of the Year

Meanwhile, each Dallas ISD school named its own Campus Teacher of the Year based on excellence in and out of the classroom. (Learn more)

Day of the Dead

Blanton Elementary hosted a Day of the Dead celebration to bring families together to experience the colorful and joyful tradition. (Watch this)

High performing Title I schools

The Texas Education Agency announced that 14 Dallas ISD schools are designated as high-performing Title I campuses. (See the schools)

Revved up over top-dollar cars

Students from the district’s automotive programs got a first-hand look at top-dollar cars at Mecum Dallas 2016, one of the world’s largest collector car auctions. (Read this)

Amazing Scholars Race

The Amazing Scholars Race combined physical fitness and academic smarts at A. Maceo Smith New Tech High School. (Learn more)

Speeding to Read

NASCAR Sprint Cup driver Kyle Larson visited with the top readers in the Speeding to Read Program at Nathan Adams and Gooch Elementary schools. (See photos from the event)

REAL School Garden at Reagan
