Dallas ISD friends and family cheer it up at the Mavs

0

Dallas ISD employees and students fanned out last night to cheer on the Dallas Mavericks as they took on the Charlotte Hornets in a pre-season matchup. Although the Mavs fell short of victory, the Dallas ISD Friends and Family Night was a hit as staff and students came out in droves to take a break from their nightly routine and enjoy a night out with the family to support the hometown team.

The Woodrow Wilson High School Sweethearts were on hand to perform in the pre-game activities, and during a break in the game, Dallas ISD teachers were recognized for their dedication in the classroom. Superintendent Michael Hinojosa also joined in the fun with a pre-game warm-up at the free throw line, and Board of Trustees President Dan Micciche showed off his skills as he hurled a giant French fry into a larger-than-life Whataburger cup.

Regular season begins Oct. 26.
