District to host free summer science and enrichment camp at McNair Elementary

Dallas ISD is excited announce the McNair Summer Science and Enrichment Camp to be held at Ronald E. McNair Elementary School located at 3150 E. Bainbridge Drive.

The McNair Summer Science and Enrichment Camp is a fun, science-based summer program facilitated by Dallas ISD educators, Mad Science and the Boys and Girls Club that will allow students to explore hands-on scientific concepts, participate in enrichment activities such as art, music and character-building and participate in weekly fieldtrips which include:

  • The Dallas Arboretum
  • Trinity River Audubon
  • Texas Discovery Gardens
  • The Perot Museum

Students at the following campuses are eligible to attend the McNair Summer Science and Enrichment Camp:

  • Adelle Turner
  • Birdie Alexander
  • Umphrey Lee
  • G. Terry
  • Mark Twain
  • Martin Weiss
  • Ronald McNair

This summer enrichment opportunity will be held from 8:30 a.m.–3:30 p.m, Monday–Thursday, June 27–July 28. Students participating in the McNair Summer Science and Enrichment Camp will receive breakfast from 8-8:30 am and lunch at no cost to the student.

District transportation is not available for this summer learning opportunity.

Applications will open online Monday, May 16 and remain available until the application period closes Friday, May 27.
