Southeast Dallas Hispanic Chamber of Commerce to host Cinco de Mayo Parade & Festival on Saturday

Come and support Dallas ISD students participating in the Cinco de Mayo Parade!

The following groups are confirmed to be there:

  • Samuell High School Band
  • Samuell High School ROTC
  • Samuell High School Drill Team
  • Samuell High School Alpha Dance
  • Samuell Varsity Cheerleaders
  • J.B. Hood Middle School Leadership  Cadets

Dallas ISD student groups and music bands are invited to participate. The participation is free for schools. If you are interested in participating send email to info@sedhcc.com

Line up for the parade begins at 8 a.m. at 2223 S. Buckner Blvd. (corner of Bruton/Buckner Blvd. on Buckner Village Shopping Center grounds). The parade begins at 10 a.m. and finishes at the Eastfield College Pleasant Grove Campus, 802 S. Buckner Blvd. The festival begins at noon and will end at 4 p.m.

This year’s Cinco de Mayo Parade Marshal is Superintendent Michael Hinojosa.

The festival will include food vendors, businesses, government and non for profit organizations, games, a DJ, local talent performers, ballet folklorico, special attractions and more.

Come out and participate or simply enjoy the floats and pride of the community.
