Bob Moore has been appointed as Dallas ISD’s chief technology officer.

Moore is currently the chief executive officer of RJM Strategies LLC, an education technology and leadership consulting practice serving education and business clients. In Dallas ISD, he will report directly to Superintendent Michael Hinojosa and lead the district’s technology efforts.

“Bob will bring a fresh perspective and outlook as we continue to move forward in our vision of becoming a premier urban school district and will tremendously support students to help them become college and career ready,” Hinojosa said.

In Sept 2012, Moore founded RJM Strategies. The firm assesses the information technology of schools to ensure their alignment with curriculum and strategy and helps develop long-term education technology and related funding plans. Before founding the firm, he served as director of business development for global education at Dell Inc.

In the K-12 education sector, Moore served nearly eight years in the mid-to-late 1990s as executive director of information technology services with the Blue Valley Schools, a suburban school system in Overland Park, Kansas. There he was a member of the superintendent’s cabinet and was the point person for the district’s education technology efforts. His tenure in Blue Valley included nearly seven years as director of information and technology.

Moore has also worked as supervisor of technology services in the Auburn (Ala.) City Schools.

Moore graduated from Auburn University with a degree in French. He later earned a master’s degree from Auburn University in management information systems.
