Watch as local music, radio and television celebrities tell Dallas ISD teachers how they feel about teachers in fun and thoughtful ways. Pass it on; let your favorite teacher know how you feel about the difference they have made in your life.

Research shows that students are successful when there is strong leadership at every campus, effective teachers in every classroom and high expectations for students and staff. As part of national Teacher Appreciation Week, Dallas ISD spent the week honoring teachers for the hard work and dedication they devote to positively impacting students’ lives.

Superintendent Mike Miles believes teaching to be one of the most honorable professions. “Of all the work I have ever performed – including serving in the U.S. military as an Army Ranger – my toughest assignment was teaching,” he said.
