Superintendent honors champions of Dallas ISD’s Ebola response
The staff members went above and beyond their regular duties in the response, working extra hours and striving to assure the community that their schools were safe. The response was prompted when district officials learned that five Dallas ISD students had direct contact with the first patient diagnosed with the Ebola virus in the United States. None of the affected students contracted the virus, and they returned to school after the prescribed quarantine period.
