Former Woodrow Wilson football star named to Pro Football Hall of Fame

Woodrow Wilson High School alumnus and 1987 Heisman winner Tim Brown was named to the 2015 class of the National Football League’s Pro Football Hall of Fame. The announcement was made at the Fourth Annual NFL Honors held in Phoenix, Ariz., as part of the festivities for Super Bowl XLIX.

Brown played for the Raiders from 1988-2003. He was selected by the Raiders in the first round (sixth overall) of the 1988 NFL Draft. Over his 17-year career, Brown accumulated 1,094 receptions for 14,934 yards (13.7 avg.), the second most in NFL history, and 100 touchdowns, the third most in league history.

For his career, Brown made nine Pro Bowl appearances and was named to the Associated Press All-Pro team in 1997.
