WFAA: Crossing guard gets new car from parents at school

0

Days shy of the Christmas holiday, a pair of parents spread a little holiday cheer and made a recent work day for one Dallas ISD crossing guard extra special.

Nathaniel Kendrick tends to the Lakewood Elementary School crossing walk twice, daily. Manning his post, Kendrick never wavers from his number one priority: safely walking students across the street.

Recently his finances had not been enough to pay for some basic necessities, like having adequate transportation, and his car was repossessed. Parents appreciative of the dedication and service he provides to their kids, quietly organized and managed to present Mr. Kendrick with a new car. Catch the surprise delivery, and the full story in the link below.
