VIDEO: Athletics director says parent involvement key to success

Parent involvement is a key factor in a student’s academic and athletic success according to Gil Garza, Dallas ISD athletics director. Research shows that students and student-athletes are more successful when they have a foundation of a supportive parent or family member. Garza encourages parents and families to get involved and become active in student-athletes’ sports participation in a positive and engaging way.
