During the 19-day program, shoppers had the opportunity to visit any area Kroger store to donate a pre-packaged school supply kit for $7 or make a $1 donation at checkout. The collection drive surpassed its initial goal of equipping 30,000 local children with the necessary tools for a successful school year. This year, more than 44,000 deserving students in the DFW area received school supplies, as a result of the efforts of the Stuff the Bus project.
John Q. Adams Elementary gave a special thanks to Kroger for their donation with a school presentation featuring cheers, songs and handmade posters. See pictures from the J.Q. Adams event here.
